COVID-19 Office Policies

Time will tell if COVID-19 is here to stay.  In the meantime we need to be smart to stay safe.  With this in mind please read our office guidelines below - these guidelines are to keep everyone as safe as possible.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Your safety is my priority.  I realize that these guidelines may be annoying to some, but for now they are necessary. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

You do not need to be vaccinated to come into the clinic, just masked.  Just an FYI, I have received both rounds of the Pfizer vaccine and the booster.  As a health care provider, I am committed to keeping you, me, and the our community as safe as possible.

Anyone visiting the clinic needs to abide by the following guidelines:

  • Please bring your own mask and keep it on the entire time you are inside the clinic.

  • You will receive a COVID-19 self-screening questionnaire via email about 6 hours before your visit – please reply.  If you have any signs of respiratory infection, (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breathe, loss of smell/taste, fatigue, body aches), you must cancel your appointment, without charge.

  • When your session is over we ask that you please leave the clinic as soon as possible, to allow ample time for cleaning and sanitizing the treatment room.

WHITE LOTUS ACUPUNCTURE SAFETY CONTROL MEASURES FOR COVID-19

  • Face masks are required for the duration of your treatment, even when alone in your treatment room.  The only exception is for facial acupuncture sessions; you may remove your mask at needling time only. When needles are removed you must put your mask on again.

  • Clinic is equipped with an Austin Air HEPA system, which uses medical grade HEPA technology proven to remove 95% of air pollutants as small as 0.1 microns; the COVID-19 virus is larger so theoretically the system can effectively filter the virus when airborne.

  • EPA N-list approved products are used to clean surfaces and all equipment used; vacuum with HEPA filtration is used to clean floors.

  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizers used in the clinic meet or exceed CDC guidelines.

  • High-touch areas, such as counters, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, dispensers, etc. are disinfected throughout the day.

  • Items such as cups, probes, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, pulse oximeters, etc. are cleaned and disinfected after each use.

  • Linens are currently not use to reduce the risk of transmission. Treatment tables are cleaned with FDA approved germicidal disinfectant.

  • Contactless payment methods are available and encouraged.

NOTE: It is important to remember that transmission may still occur; COVID-19 is shed in high concentration before symptoms appear, so screening questions and temperature checks are not a guarantee that an asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic patient will not enter the clinic.

The health and safety of our patients is of the utmost importance so your patience and practice of these guidelines is greatly appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to read our clinic guidelines, please reach out with any questions or concerns.
